Robert Pless is the Patrick and Donna Martin Professor and Chair of Computer Science at George Washington University. He has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Cornell University in 1994 and a PhD from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2000. He was on the faculty of Computer Science at Washington University in St. Louis from 2000-2016. His research focuses on geometrical and statistical Computer Vision, researching mathematical approaches to understand images that document changes over short or long time-scales, and developing crowd-sourcing and open-source information processing approaches that bring new tools to bear on social justice and environmental problems.
